Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
This verse specifically refers to the RETURN of Christ to earth. This great event is known as the "revealing" or "revelation" of Christ when he returns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords as discribed in Revelation 19:11-16. It is important to note that this is NOT the rapture. The rapture is the churches departure as seen in Revelation 4:1.
"And all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him". This is because here we see the Second Coming of Christ when he returns with his saints (Revelation 19) to execute judgement on all (Jude verses 14 & 15).
"Even so, Amen", interestingly the Greek for even so is "Amen" and the Hebrew for "Amen" is even so.

Revelation 1:6
And (He) hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Because of His love and the washing of regeneration, Christ is able to make us kings and priests unto God and his Father. If you are a born-again believer you are a preist in the eyes of the Almighty. You can bring your own petitions to God. You need no other minister/mediator to do that. All born-again believers are (according to 1 Peter 2:9) members of a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that (we) should shew forth the praises of him who hath called (us) out of darkness into his marvellous light. What a great thing! To him be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth.Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. The reason that Christ is the "first begotten" from the dead is because, while others (i.e. Lazarus) were raised to life they died again, he was raise from the dead to immortality-never to die again! This is way Christ should be the first that should rise from the dead (Acts 26:23)...and why He only hath immortality (1 Timothy 6:16). It is important to note that Christ is called "the first begotten" or "the firstborn of the dead". Other times He is called "the only begotten". The term "only begotten" refers to His incarnation, whereas "first begotten" (or firstborn) refers to His ressurection. See Hebrews 1:6, Colossians 1:15 and Colossians 1:18.The Lord Jesus Christ is also called the prince of the kings of the earth. This refers to the future when the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) returns as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16). This glorious event will be the fullfillments of scripture in Psalm 72:8.

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

God promises a special blessing to those that read, hear and keep these things that are written. He would not have said that if we were unable to comprehend these truths. This Book is filled with understandable truths that bring joy to the heart because it contains the message of the Saviour.
For the time is at hand means "imminent" or "impending". So literally this could mean immediatley or in 10 minutes or 10 days, 10 months or even 10 years. Having said that, Jesus' return for His Church (the Rapture) could happen at any moment! Exciting Stuff! This is why, as Christians, we should keep our eyes focused on heaven, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)
Revelation 1:2
[John] bare record of the word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all things he saw.

This statement is self-explanitory
